HERE’S WHAT THE PROCESS LOOKS LIKE:
The project officially starts after we discussed all preliminary questions, have a clear scope and you approved the proposal and paid a deposit.
2. Getting everything together
You deliver all existing materials (for example logo, existing brand guidelines, images, text, videos, testimonials…), your hosting login details (if you don’t have hosting yet I will guide you through the process of setting it up) and social media links.
3. Brand style guide + website structure
I then develop a brand style guide for your new website with fonts, colors and signature elements like patterns or photo style and define the navigation structure for your new website.
4. Building your website
After we’ve agreed on the style guide and website structure I set up the development environment on your server and start building your homepage. I design and develop your content in WordPress, install plugins and widgets, contact forms and more juicy techy stuff.
5. Copy writing
In the meantime, you will be writing your copy with the help of templates that I provide. I’ll then coach you through refining it and optimize and edit it where necessary.
6. Testing and going live
When I’m done putting everything together you’ll get a preview link and we test everything, fix what needs to be fixed, add some last-minute things or take stuff out and… go live!
7. After care
After your website is live I’m not going to leave you stranded. I’ll show you how everything works so you can update it yourself, and I’m available to help and support you.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How long does it take?
I aim to finish a project in 4 weeks, but it truly depends on how quickly you are able to put together all the content I need, such as images and copy.
What website platforms do you use?
At the moment I exclusively use self-hosted WordPress and the premium Avada theme.
What about hosting?
If you already have a hosting provider you just need to give me the access details and I’ll set up your new website there. If you’re just getting started, I recommend Siteground for hosting and will walk you through the process of setting it up. Or you can decide to host your website with me and I’ll also take care of your backups and WordPress, plugin and theme maintenance.
Can you move my Squarespace or Wix Website to WordPress?
I’m happy to do that! We can export and then import your existing content, point your domain to your new website and set up redirects for our old links. There’s an extra fee and it depends on how many pages and posts you have.

How do I pay?
You will pay in 3 installments. The first payment is due before we start, the second after your homepage is finished and the third after the website is live. You’ll receive an invoice for each payment that you can pay through PayPal or bank transfer.
